Southern Spring Rains

have been hitting us for several days now. That hasn't stopped us from farm chores but it is getting beyond dreary.

We plunked in 3 more blueberry shrubs and 4 rows of potatoes. Should have planted rice! There is nothing out there now except paddies.

After I locked up 8 wet chickens, I sloshed my way to the back and stood in amazement at the amount of standing water on a slope.

That was last night. It's still dark out there now, with flashes of lightening all over the skies and it is still coming down. I think it will pass by noon.
